Subject “Working Conditions”

A video course gives you an overview about general conditions and legal guidelines when in work, for example hours of work, vacation days, overtime regulations and your “Probezeit”. Subsequently, you obtain an outline of work permits and their regulations.

Subject “Work Culture”

To be considered as a professional team member you should be familiar with the German cultural standards and their influence on the work sphere. In this seminar we discuss the typical German way of working and behaviour of your German colleagues. We reflect why things are done in a certain way and which advantages these cultural characteristics might have at work but also which conflicts may occur. Additionally, we define the role of an employee and a superior. Based on practical examples we try to understand the perspectives of different cultures and discuss possible solutions to avoid misunderstandings.
